Letter to the Selections Committee
Thank you for the opportunity to interview for Scout Executive of Samoset Council. The council’s reputation for quality program is well known. Joining this team would be a privilege and honor.
I have reviewed the materials sent to me as insight to Samoset Council. By any measure, Samoset continues to be a successful and well-run organization that has the potential for strategic growth in all operational areas. I am excited about the possibility of bringing my experience and talents to the Scouting program within one of America’s finest councils.
My Midwest roots and strength in a versatile Scouting background align well with the council’s priorities as laid out in the candidate profile match.
The beginning of my Scouting career was focused largely on field operations where I learned firsthand how to be a servant leader with great volunteers. A strong foundation in program over the last six years has equipped me to effectively connect Scouting’s impact with donors. Together we can develop innovative approaches to meet the needs of today’s families, expand our support base and ensure the organization remains sustainable and vital into the future.
I look forward to learning more about Samoset Scouting and connecting my skills with the council’s initiatives. I believe that you will find I possess those qualities that you and the council leadership are looking for in your next Scout Executive.
